Anna Jackman Straw - Woodwind

Anna graduated from The University of Oxford in 2022 with a first-class BA in Music and is currently studying for a Masters in Musicology at King’s College London.
Anna has extensive performance experience as a soloist and in ensembles. She is a member of saxophone quartet, ‘Zephyr Quartet’ and funk band, ‘Jam Factory’, and previously led St Catherine’s College Choir and Oxford-based band ‘Garfunkel’. Anna is passionate about a huge range of music styles and her performance experience reflects this, from Classical, jazz and fusion to musical theatre.
Alongside studying, Anna is pursuing her passion of music education, delivering primary school workshops and individual lessons. She is taking part in Music Master’s ‘Music Making Trainee’ programme and is a Benedetti Foundation Instrumental Ambassador. Anna also has experience in Fundraising, having worked for The Benedetti Foundation where she also assisted pastorally at large-scale music projects for over 25,000 people per year.
